Front Elevation: An attempt to provide a mixture and variety to exterior or Copley Square side of the building. By creating a dusk view of the building the colors at the entry are more dramatic.
This View along Dartmouth Street was my first attempt to embellish a very rigid geometic form. The slope ramp was to alert the person who has never seen an Apple Store of the whimsical nature of the mercantile nature of the function inside the exterior ramp. In this case it is the spiral ramp which leads people that are walking in a continuous experience toward the top for a possible overview of the Boylston Plaza.
This is the West Elevation
