Portfolio 2nd Semester: Studio introduction

Prior to the initial Problem that was to be used in the intensive a small site plan exercise was investigated and problems that used interior and exterior space was employed. This was an introduction into the more complex building problem which we were to address.

It is necessary in architectural thinking for me to explore the basic concept of function with a hand sketch and then proceed to a three-dimensional model which above is represented by the sketch-up in a three dimensional form. The top photo represents the production of a model to best understand the complexity and refine the relationships which are essential to understanding the problem. By protection of a model I was better able to understand and enjoy the process of design.

The second photo form the top represented the actual concept for the building problems which was to later evolve into a three dimensional building model.
